Incorporating a traditional ball head with +90 / -90 portrait orientation grooves and single repositionable "ratchet" locking lever, the 724B is a four section tripod with slightly larger top casting and leg tubes than the 714 and 718 DIGI models, giving it a higher load capacity. The leg pivot system uses a unique single hinge design in aluminium which both keeps the cross section smaller and allows the leg to fold shorter than conventional tripods. Comes complete with a carrying bag with twin shoulder straps for backpack style carrying.
